saaf suthra saabun
(clean soap)
Handmade soap
Dimensions variable
Sculpted and carved by hand, these soap forms reflect a quiet preoccupation with cleansing, belief, and touch.
Infused with scents and materials drawn from everyday rituals, each piece holds its own tension between the pure and the impure, a religious dichotomy that I explore through the material. Inspired by Islamic ideas of purification, the works linger in a space where faith becomes sensory. A space where scent, texture, and form speak to the body as much as to devotion.
With time, they soften, dissolve, and change, carrying with them the residue of both care and transformation.
