soft tension

This work came from a need to understand what it means to inhabit a private space.
What does it mean to be soft, stretched and held together?
I keep thinking about how things that protect us can also begin to resemble us, how texture can carry memory. I'm thinking of the body when constructing this work, how it feels comfort and unease, about what quietly lives within its crevices, what we choose to show and what we hide.
